So I got an interesting email yesterday. It was an email letting me know that I would be the emcee at the LIVESTRONG Challenge in Philadelphia this year.
My jaw dropped.
There will be over 6,000 participants with family members, supporters, volunteers, and well….other people that are awesome cheering them on.
Myself included, along with the entire #BlameDrewsCancer team.
What an honor….one that I can’t even put into words.
August 23rd, 2009.
"The LIVESTRONG Challenge is the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s signature fundraising event inspired by hope, courage and the perseverance of Lance and the nearly 12 million Americans affected by cancer. We take to the streets on bicycles and on our feet, uniting individuals to stand together to fight cancer.”
Even more of an honor is I get to introduce my good friend Ethan Zohn, who is battling his own fight and kicking Cancers ass into oblivion at the same time. His support has been amazing while I’ve (we’ve) been trying to get through the nasty day to day chemo days.
We’re going to kick off the challenge together.
Get involved. Volunteer, Donate, Participate. That link has all of the info you’ll need.
More soon, but wow.
